Program

Day 1: Kutaisi Airport – Tbilisi

  • Departure from Poland and arrival in Kutaisi
  • Lunch break after flight near Kutaisi
  • Transfer to Tbilisi and hotel accommodation
  • Welcome dinner in the old town
  • Night tour of the old town for those willing
  • Overnight stay at a hotel

Day 2: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Tbilisi city tour

  • After breakfast, visit the monastery of Jvari and Mtskheta – the capital of Georgia until the 5th century and temple of Svetitskhoveli –  place of coronation and burial of Georgian kings
  • Lunch break
  • In the evening Tbilisi city tour – explore the old town, Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica, cable car ride to the Narikala fortress where is a wonderful panoramic view of the city, walk to the waterfall located in the city center, in the district of sulfur baths
  • Optional visit to sulfur baths
  • Dinner in a famous restaurant, combined with a show of traditional Georgian dances
  • Return to the hotel and overnight

Day 3: Tbilisi – David Gareja – Bodbe – Sighnaghi

  • After breakfast, drive to Kakheti – a land known not only for wine production, but also for its unique medieval heritage – historic and renovated towns, fortresses and monasteries, which are important religious centers related to the history of Georgia
  • Drive to the steppes in the south of the country and visit the complex of David Gareja rock monasteries from the 6th century 
  • On the way to Sighnaghi visiting the Bodbe Monastery – the burial place of St. Nino, who converted Georgia to Christianity
  • Accommodation and dinner in Sighnaghi – a town with a 2.5-kilometer defensive wall, known for the oldest wine festival in Georgia

Day 4: Sighnaghi – Alazani Valley – Wine tour – Supra – Sighnaghi

  • After breakfast departure to Alazani valley, one of the largest valleys in Europe
  • Stop at the local market in Gurjaani
  • Visit to the vineyard and museum in Numisi, Kindzmarauli wine factory, Khareba winery – tunnel converted into a wine warehouse
  • Next stop – Gremi fortress, which until the 16th century was the capital of the kingdom of Kakheti and from where there is a beautiful view over the Alazani Valley
  • Supra – a traditional Georgian feast at a friendly farmers house on a vineyard, with wine and local food tasting, Georgian cuisine workshops (baking bread, making churchkhela or khinkali) with traditional singers
  • Return to Signagi, free time, dinner and overnight

Day 5: Sighnaghi – Ananuri – Stepantsminda

  • After breakfast heading in the direction of Georgian Military Road connecting Tbilisi with Vladikavkaz. On the way visiting Ananuri fortress from the 17th century, located by the Zhinvali water reservoir
  • photo stop at the Jvari Pass (2379 m above sea level)
  • Accommodation in Stepantsminda, free time, Dinner and overnight 

Day 6: Stepantsminda – Truso valley – Gergeti Holy Trinity – Stepantsminda

  • After breakfast departure by off-road vehicles to the Truso Valley near the border with South Ossetia, known for its mineral springs, lakes, medieval defensive towers, Abano monastery and the Zakagori fortress
  • Walk in the valley and an outdoor picnic with local shepherds and baking skewers
  • In the afternoon, drive to one of the most beautifully situated monasteries in Georgia – Gergeti Holy Trinity, which lies at an altitude of 2200 m above sea level, at the foot of Mount Kazbek (5033 m)
  • Evening walk on the town, free time, dinner and overnight

Day 7: Stepantsminda – Gori – Uplistsikhe – Borjomi – Rabati – Akhaltsikhe

  • After breakfast, departure towards Gori, a short stop at the Stalin Museum, where there is the house, the commander was born and the wagon in which he travelled
  • Visiting Uplistsikhe, the oldest cave city in Georgia, where the settlement dates back to the second millennium BC 
  • Transfer to Borjomi and a walk through the beautiful park with numerous medical waters, optional cable car ride to the viewpoint
  • Accommodation in Akhaltsikhe – a place where religions and cultures intersect, visiting the largest fortress in Georgia – Rabat
  • Dinner and overnight in Akhaltsikhe

Day 8: Akhaltsikhe – Vardzia – Abastumani – Akhaltsikhe

  • After breakfast visit the monumental cave city of Vardzia, founded in the times of Queen Tamar (12th-13th centuries), which in its heyday could accommodate up to 50,000 residents
  • Stop at the market in Akhaltsikhe
  • Visit to the old spa with a unique microclimate of Abastumani, where the Romanov Palace is located (For those who wish, a visit to the pools with thermal water)
  • Return to Akhaltsikhe for dinner and overnight

Day 9: Akhaltsikhe – Batumi

  • After breakfast, departing towards Batumi
  • Off-road through the Goderdzi Pass (2025 m above sea level), stop at the Zarzma monastery, stop at the Zarzma monastery from the turn of the 6th and 7th century
  • Lunch, picnic at the pass
  • Arrival in Batumi and hotel accommodation

Day 10/11/12/13/14:

We can extend your stay in Batumi by any number of days. We leave you in the care of our employee, we can also organize any trips around the area or attractions on the spot in Batumi.

In Batumi, we have contacts with the accommodation base and offer optional trips around thecity and the surrounding area. On site, we leave you under the care of our partner.

The price also includes transfer from Batumi to the airport after your stay.

On request, we can also prepare a full offer for you with a stay in Batumi (for example, 10, 14 days), in this case we are responsible for booking accommodation and an additional program in Batumi.

The given offer is an example offer – it can be enriched with additional optional trips at the customer’s request.

The program is determined in terms of flights to Tbilisi. It can be modified for groups that want to land at Kutaisi or Batumi airport, the price may change then.
