Program

Day 1: Kopitnari airport – Kutaisi city tour

  • Arrival in Kutaisi
  • Transfer to Kutaisi, currently the second largest city in Georgia and the capital of the Imereti region. Check-in at the hotel
  • Lunch break, short tour of the Old Town and Bagrati Cathedral
  • Visit to two historic and incredibly important monasteries for Georgians: Motsameta, with a tragic history behind it, and Gelati, a medieval monastery complex listed by UNESCO
  • Evening supra (traditional Georgian feast) at an agrotourism farm with Georgian cuisine workshops and live music
  • Return to Kutaisi and overnight stay at the hotel

Day 2: Kutaisi – Martvili canyon – Okatse – Prometheus cave – Kutaisi

  • After breakfast, visit the incredible Martvili Canyon with its picturesque river winding through the rocks. Enjoy a short pontoon boat ride along the deep canyon river
  • Visit the Okatse Canyon and take a walk on the 780-meter-long hanging bridges
  • Explore the Prometheus Cave
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Kutaisi

Day 3: Kutaisi – Mestia

  • After breakfast, drive along a breathtaking road to Svaneti
  • Visit the Dadiani Palace in Zugdidi, a 19th-century residence of one of the most famous Georgian noble families
  • On the way, stop at the third-highest dam in the world, an impressive structure on the Enguri River
  • Arrive in Mestia, a town with medieval stone towers and buildings on the UNESCO World Heritage list
  • Explore the town and free time
  • Dinner and overnight stay in an agrotourism accommodation

Day 4: Mestia – Ushguli – Hatsvali – Mestia

  • Breakfast in agrotourism accommodation
  • Full-day jeep tour on a narrow and winding mountain road to Ushguli – one of the highest villages in Europe, where time seems to have stood still, known for its 37 preserved stone towers dating back to the 9th-12th centuries
  • Lunch break
  • Return to Mestia on the mountainous serpentine road
  • Optional cable car ride to the Hatsvali viewpoint with a restaurant offering a beautiful panorama of the Svaneti Mountains
  • Dinner and overnight stay in agrotourism accommodation

Day 5: Mestia – Koruldi Lakes – Chalaadi – Mestia

  • Breakfast in agrotourism accommodation
  • Off-road jeep tour to the Koruldi Lakes at an altitude of 2750m, with a fantastic view of the panorama of four-thousanders around Mestia
  • Lunch/picnic break by the lake
  • Drive and short trekking under the Chalaadi glacier for about 1.5 hours
  • Return to Mestia, free time
  • Dinner and overnight stay in agrotourism accommodation

Day 6: Mestia – Batumi

  • After breakfast, return to the lowlands and drive to Batumi, a vibrant Georgian resort town on the Black Sea
  • On the way to Batumi, visit Georgia’s most famous dendrological park with unique tree specimens from all over the world
  • Check-in at the hotel in Batumi
  • possible walk along the atmospheric streets of the old town, visit to the port, cable car ride to a viewpoint, Ali and Nino monument)
  • Dinner at a restaurant serving Adjaran cuisine specialties
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Batumi

Day 7: Batumi – Mirveti – Makhuntseti – Batumi

  • Breakfast at the hotel, free time, and beach relaxation
  • Around noon, a trip to the Adjaran mountains to visit waterfalls and a winery
  • Drive on a charming route under the Makhuntseti and Mirveti waterfalls and visit medieval stone bridges, a winery located in the Adjaran mountains with a beautiful view of the area, tasting local alcohol, lunch composed of traditional Adjaran dishes
  • Return to Batumi in the evening
  • Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 8: Transfer to Kopitnari airport

  • Transfer to the airport
