Program
Day 1: Kutaisi airport – Tbilisi
- Arrival in Kutaisi
- Lunch break after flight near Kutaisi
- Transfer to Tbilisi and hotel accommodation
- Welcome dinner in the old town
- Night tour of the old town for those willing
- Overnight stay at a hotel
Day 2: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Tbilisi city tour
- Arrival in Tbilisi, hotel accommodation, time to rest
- After breakfast, sightseeing around Tbilisi – drive to the Jvari monastery and Mtskheta, served as the capital which until the 5th century AD, visiting the legendary Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – place of coronation and burial place of Georgian kings
- Walk through old Tbilisi streets and see main monuments of the capital: the Sioni Cathedral and the Anchischati basilica – the oldest surviving church in Tbilisi; drive by cable car to the Narikala fortress; walk to the waterfall located in the district of sulfur baths
- Dinner in a famous restaurant in the old town
- Overnight at a hotel in Tbilisi
Day 3: Sighnaghi – Lagodekhi National Park Distance 11.5km, ↑1504m, ↓ 130m
- After breakfast, departure to Lagodekhi, on the way stop for shopping, registration in the National Park administration, packing luggage for horses and start trekking towards the Black Lakes, the distance to cover that day is 11.5 km, mainly ascent
- Lunch in nature on the way
- After reaching the Meteo station, put up tent, bonfire, dinner
Day 4: Lagodekhi National park Distance 14km, ↑1000m, ↓ 300m
- After breakfast, start the next stage of the trekking, 14 km to cover, also mainly ascent
- After reaching the campsite, put up tent, bonfire, dinner
Day 5: Black Rock Lake
- Walking in the area, horse riding (on request), approach to the Black Rock Lake and the surrounding smaller lakes, possibility for swimming
- Dinner and overnight at the same campsite as the night before
Day 6: Lagodekhi National park – Sighnaghi Distance 14km, ↓ 2100m
- After breakfast, descend towards Lagodekhi (14 km)
- Dinner and overnight in Sighnaghi
Day 7: Sighnaghi – Uplistsikhe – Kutaisi
- After breakfast departure Uplistsikhe, the oldest cave city in Georgia, where the settlement dates back to the second millennium BC
- Lunch on the way
- Arrival in Kutaisi, the capital of imereti region and the second largest city in Georgia
- Georgian supra in famous gesthouse with Georgian cuisine workshops and live music
- Overnight stay at a hotel
Day 8: Transfer to the Kutaisi airport
- Transfer to the airport
