Day 0: 

  • arrival in Tbilisi in the late evening hours

Day 1: Tbilisi Airport – (Mtskheta) – Tbilisi Sightseeing (60 km)

  • late arrival in Tbilisi, check-in at the hotel, time to rest.
  • 11:0014:00 after breakfast at the hotel, exploring the surroundings of Tbilisi – visiting the Jvari Monastery located on top of a hill, followed by the city of Mtskheta, which served as the capital until the 5th century AD, visiting the legendary Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, the site of coronations and eternal rest of Georgian rulers.
  • 14:0016:00 lunch in the vicinity of Mtskheta at a restaurant by the river, run by a renowned Georgian chef, author of the well-known book “Georgian Flavor.”
  • 16:0019:00 exploring the old town, a stroll along Rustaveli Avenue, visiting the Sioni Cathedral and the Anchiskhati Basilica, a cable car ride to the Narikala Fortress with a magnificent view of the city, a walk to the waterfall located in the city center, in the district of sulfur baths.
  • 20:0023:00 dinner at a renowned restaurant, combined with a show of traditional Georgian dances.

Day 2: Tbilisi – Ananuri – Tsminda Sameba – Stepantsminda – Tbilisi (300 km)

  • 08:0009:00 breakfast at the hotel.
  • 09:0014:00 departure towards the famous Georgian Military Highway, connecting Tbilisi with Vladikavkaz, stopping at the Ananuri Fortress from the 17th century, beautifully situated above the Zhinvali Reservoir.
  • stop at a beautiful viewpoint just before the Cross Pass (2395 meters above sea level).
  • 14:0016:00 lunch at a Georgian home with our local friends, featuring highlander cuisine specialties and a competition in drinking local moonshine from a ram’s horn.
  • 16:0017:00 drive to the town of Stepantsminda and ascent to one of the most beautifully located monasteries in Georgia – Tsminda Sameba, which lies at an altitude of 2170 meters at the foot of Mount Kazbek (5033 meters above sea level).
  • 17:0021:00 return to Tbilisi, dinner at a local restaurant on the way.
  • overnight stay at a hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 3: Conference in Tbilisi

  • 08:0009:00 treakfast at the hotel.
  • 10:0018:00 conference, two coffee breaks, lunch at the hotel.
  • 20:0023:00 dinner at a well-known Georgian restaurant, combined with a show of traditional Georgian dances.

Day 4: Transfer to the Airport (20 km)
