Program

Day 1:  Tbilisi – Diklo – shenako – keselo – Omalo

  • The tour will commence early in the morning, using 4×4 vehicles. The meeting point is at the Bicycle Monument.
  • We will depart from Tbilisi and head towards Gombori Pass (1620 m).
  • Beyond the village of Lechuri, we will enter the valley of Stori, which marks the starting point of the Tusheti road. Our route will take us through Abano Pass (2826m).
  • Upon reaching Omalo village, you can visit the Visitor Center, where you will find information about Tusheti’s history, culture, and various points of interest.
  • In the evening, we will be accommodated in a family-owned hotel.
  • While in Omalo, we will explore the Keselo castle towers.
  • We will also visit several other villages, including Shenako, Diklo, and Old Diklo. In addition, we will explore Diklo Castle and St. George’s Church of Shenako, which was constructed in the 19th century

  • At the family hotel, you will have the opportunity to savor traditional Georgian and Tushuri dinner dishes

Day 2: Omalo – Dochu – Bochorna – Dartlo – Kvavlo – Dano – Omalo

  • Begin the day with breakfast at the family-owned hotel
  • Explore the villages of Dartlo, Kvavlo, and Dano. In these villages, you will discover an ancient court system where female judges played a significant role. Additionally, you can marvel at the Tushuri towers, which are recognized as UNESCO monuments and have been meticulously restored. Notably, a complete restoration project has been undertaken near the village of Dartlo
  • Enjoy a picnic-style lunch in a natural setting
  • Continue the journey with visits to the inhabited Bochorna village, situated at the highest point in Europe, at an elevation of 2345 meters, and Dochu village
  • Return to the hotel, where you will savor a family-style dinner

Day 3: Omalo – Abano pass – Sviana fortress

  • After breakfast at our cozy family-owned hotel we’ll embark on an exhilarating journey through the rugged landscapes of Tusheti, not by vehicle, but on horseback. Saddle up for an unforgettable ride as we traverse the Abano Pass, following the very same trail we journeyed on our first day
  • Amidst the stunning vistas of the Abano Pass, we’ll pause to indulge in a picnic lunch.
  • After arriving our first camping place near Sviana fortress, where a hot and delectable meal, thoughtfully prepared by our cook, awaits you
  • Overnight in the tents

Day 4: Sviana fortress -Allazani valley near Shakriani village

  • After breakfasting our trail will lead us from the lofty heights of the mountains to the tranquil lowlands of Kakheti. Along the way, the scenery will transform, offering a captivating tapestry of natural beauty that you won’t want to miss
  • Enjoy a picnic-style lunch in a natural setting
  • As the sun dips below the horizon, we’ll gather for putting up tents and enjoy with dinner thoughtfully prepared by our cook

Day 5: Shakriani valley – Alazani valley near Tsinandali

  • After breakfast we’ll embark on another exhilarating day of horseback riding. Our journey will take us through a picturesque landscape, where Kakhetian vineyards and quaint villages form the backdrop to our adventure. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the heart of Kakheti’s winemaking region, where tradition and nature converge

  • As the sun dips below the horizon, we’ll gather for putting up tents and enjoy with dinner thoughtfully prepared by our cook

Day 6: Tsinandali valley – St Elia Mountain

  • The day begins with a delightful, typically Georgian breakfast, setting the stage for another day of exhilarating exploration. Our first mission of the day is to head out to the plains and find our trusty horses that have roamed freely overnight. It’s a unique and authentic experience, connecting us with the spirit of these majestic animals.
  • After breakfast we’ll embark on a journey southward, venturing deeper into the heart of today’s adventure. The landscape unfolds before us, revealing the breathtaking beauty of vineyards and tranquil of Kakhetian lowland villages.
  • A well-deserved picnic lunch awaits, providing a moment to recharge. and reflect on the morning’s discoveries.

  • As the afternoon sun begins its descent, we’ll arrive at a picturesque farm, where our loyal horses find respite during the winter months

 Day 8: Vashlovani national park – Tbilisi

  • After breakfast transfer to Tbilisi
