Program

Day 0:

  • Arrival at the Tbilisi international airport in the late evening hours

Day 1: Tbilisi airport – Tbilisi city tour

  • Arrival at the Tbilisi international airport, accommodation in hotel, time to rest
  • 13.00 – 14.00 Lunch
  • 14.00 – 16.00 Free time
  • 16.00 – 19.00 Visit old city,walking along Shota Rustaveli Avenue, Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica, cable car to the Narikala fortress with a wonderful panoramic view of the city, walk to the waterfall located in the city center, in the district of sulfur baths. You will see and feel how past and present are co-living in this amazing city
  • 20.00 – 23.00 Dinner in a famous restaurant, combined with a show of traditional Georgian dances
  • Return to the hotel

Day 2: Tbilisi – Sighnaghi – Bodbe – Supra – Telavi

  • 8.00 – 9.00 After breakfast, departure to Kakheti – a land known for its wine production and unique medieval heritage
  • 11.00 – 13.00 Transfer to Sighnaghi – a town with a 2.5-kilometer defensive wall, known for the oldest wine festival in Georgia, and on the way visiting the Bodbe Monastery – the burial place of St. Nino, who converted Georgia to Christianity
  • 15.00 – 19.00 Supra – a traditional Georgian feast at a friendly farmers house on a vineyard, wine degustation and local food tasting, Georgian cuisine workshops (baking bread, making churchkhela or khinkali) with traditional live music
  • 19.00 – 20.00 Arrive in Telavi, accommodation in hotel

Day 3: Telavi – Wine tour – David Gareja – Tbilisi

  • 9.00 – 12.00 After breakfast, drive to the Kindzmarauli wine factory, Khareba vineyard – a tunnel converted into a wine warehouse – tastings
  • 12.00 – 14.00 Transfer to the steppes in the south of the country, traditional Georgian lunch consisting of Svan cuisine delicacies
  • 14.00 – 16.00 Visit the complex of David Gareja rock monasteries, carved in the 6th century on the border with Azerbaijan
  • 16.00 – 19.00 Return to Tbilisi, free time
  • 20.00 – 23.00 Dinner in the restraunt
  • Overnight at the hotel

Day 4: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Sarajishvili factory – Tbilisi

  • 9.00 – 12.00 After breakfast sightseeing around Tbilisi – the Jvari monastery located on the top of the hill, and then the city of Mtskheta, which was the capital of Georgia until the 5th century, visiting the legendary temple of Svetitskhoveli – the place of coronation and the eternal rest of Georgian rulers
  • 12.00 – 14.00 Lunch in Mtskheta in restaurant by the river with a well-known Georgian chef, author of the well-known book “Georgian Taste”
  • 00 – 16.00 Visit to the Sarajishvili factory located in Tbilisi; alcohol tasting
  • 16.00 – 20.00 Free time in the city, buying souvenirs, walking around the old town
  • 20.00 – 23.00 Farewell dinner in Mtskheta at a famous chef’s restaurant, who is author of popular cooking book
  • Overnight at the hotel
