Day 0:

  • departure to Tbilisi in the late evening.

Day 1: Tbilisi Airport – Tbilisi City Tour (20 km)

  • arrival in Tbilisi in the early morning, car pickup, hotel check-in, time to rest.
  • training on off-road driving.
  • return to Tbilisi, lunch on your own.
  • evening stroll through the old town and visiting the main landmarks of the capital: Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica – the oldest monastery in Tbilisi, cable car ride to Narikala Fortress, offering a magnificent view of the city, walk to the waterfall located in the sulfur baths district.
  • welcome dinner at a local restaurant and live music.
  • return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Tbilisi – Dedoplistkharo – Shiraki Valley (180 km/ 12km 6-7h)

  • after breakfast, drive towards Vashlovani to Dedoplistskaro,
  • shopping at the local bazaar, obtaining park passes at the administration office
  • transfer to the stud farm on the outskirts of Waszlowani, where we will start the horse rally
  • driving through the Shiraki Valley,
  • picnic/lunch in nature
  • rally towards Shavi Mta (black mountain), the highest point of the park (about 900m)
  • preparing a common meal and staying overnight in tents

Day 3: Mount Shavi – Mijniskure 10 km 6h

  • breakfast at the camp
  • departure on the route through the Alfadara Pass, with picturesque semi-desert landscapes,
  • rally through Takhis Tskhali, a wonderful canyon with unique rock formations,
  • picnic/lunch at the viewpoint
  • transfer to the Alazani River valley and to Mijnis Khure, where we will find a campsite for the night
  • dinner by the fire, preparing and baking skewers

Day 4: Mijniskure – Samukhi Valley 12 km 7-8h

  • after breakfast, a short walk of about 2 km to a viewing point on the border with Azerbaijan
  • preparation of horses and departure through an exceptionally picturesque canyon to the Usakhelo viewpoint
  • continue along the trail to the Samukhis valley, picnic/lunch in the bosom of nature
  • horse riding rally to a designated camping site, on the edge of the strictly protected area of Waszlowani Park
  • dinner and overnight stay at the camp

Day 5: Samukhi Valley – Alesilebi – Datvis Khevi – Pantishara Canyon 15km 8h

  • breakfast, preparing horses for the rally
  • drive through Alesilebi, mountains with beautiful rock formations
  • picnic/lunch at the viewpoint
  • driving through the Datvis Khevi canyon (Bear Canyon) and Mertskhlebi Kalaki, the city of swallows
  • rally through the Pantishara canyon, towards the camp
  • preparation of dinner and overnight stay in tents

Alesilebi

Day 6: Vashlovani – Tbilisi (180 km) 12 km/180km 6-7h

  • after breakfast, return towards the stud farm, our starting point of the rally through the Echo and Lekis Tskhali viewpoint,
  • return to Tbilisi, hotel accommodation, rest
  • return to the hotel for overnight stay

Day 7: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Tbilisi (60 km)

  • after breakfast, sightseeing around Tbilisi – transfer to the Jvari Monastery located on the top of a hill and to the town of Mtskheta, which until the 5th century AD served as the capital, visiting the legendary temple of Svetitskhoveli – the place of coronation and final resting place of the rulers of Georgia
  • free time, opportunity to buy souvenirs, lunch on your own
  • for those interested (optional) a visit to the famous Tbilisi sulfur baths, a visit to private baths with a sauna and hot health waters, massages and peeling or a cable car ride to the Mtatsminda viewing point
  • optional visit to the factory of the oldest Georgian brandy Sarajishvili and tasting of XO VIP brandy
  • farewell dinner at a local restaurant
  • return to the hotel for overnight stay or rest before the flight

Day 8: Transfer to the airport

  • after breakfast, transfer to the airport

 

Information

The offer can be tailored to meet the requirements of each client. We can propose an appropriate standard of hotels and enrich the program with additional attractions. We can start from any airport in Georgia and extend the duration by any number of days. During the trek, there will be local guides – one per four horses. Accommodations will be in complete wilderness, without campgrounds with toilets and showers. Only portable camping showers will be available. There will be an opportunity for a swim in the river at one or two locations. In Vaszlovani, there are many snakes, so people will receive instructions on how to behave and check tents and sleeping bags to avoid bites.
