Expedition overview
Day 1: Tbilisi – Keselo – Omalo (195 km) 5h
- the trip will start early in the morning at 07:00. Meeting point at the Giant Bicycle monument in Tbilisi
- departure from Tbilisi to the Kakheti region via the scenic Gombori Pass (1620 m)
- visit the Alaverdi Cathedral
- after the village of Lechuri, the Stori Valley begins, from where the road to Tusheti leads through the Abano Pass (2826 m)
- visit the Information Center in the village of Omalo to learn more about the history, culture, and attractions of Tusheti
- in the evening, accommodation in a family guesthouse
- visit the Keselo castle towers in Omalo
- dinner at the guesthouse with traditional Georgian and Tushetian dishes
Day 2: Omalo – Dartlo – Kvavlo – Dano – Bochorna – Omalo (50 km) 8-9h
- breakfast at the accommodation
- visit the villages of Dartlo, Kvavlo, and Dano. This area features the ancient court and meeting place – Sabcheo, where both women and men from the local community acted as judges. You can also see defensive towers listed as UNESCO heritage sites
- picnic in nature
- visit the highest inhabited village in Europe – Bochorna (2345 m) and the village of Dochu
- return to the guesthouse, dinner in a family atmosphere
Day 3: Omalo – Shenako – Diklo – Tbilisi (210 km) 8-10h
- breakfast at the guesthouse
- visit the villages of Shenako and Diklo. Explore the Diklo Castle, and the church and St. George’s in Shenako, architectural monuments built in the 19th century
- return to Tbilisi

The trip are organised by locals with several years of experience!
Payment and cancellation policy:
*prepayment: 100 GEL per person
*cancellation: Full refund if canceled at least 10 days before the trip
Facilities in Omalo:
*Only an ambulatory service; no pharmacy available.
Additional activities:
*full day horse riding: 150 GEL per person (route follows the same path as the Delica, with shared dinners, picnics, etc.)
*1 hour horse riding: 50 GEL per person
Weather contingencies:
*trips are happening in rainy days as well
*in case of landslides or other road issues, trips may be delayed. Organizers are always up-to-date with road conditions, and full refunds are provided if trips are canceled.
Accommodation:
*accommodation in a single room +50 GEL per night
Recommendations:
when traveling to Tusheti, it is recommended to wear comfortable, sports or specialized hiking shoes. remember to bring a warm jacket and light clothing as it is quite warm during the day and can be chilly in the evening
in Tusheti it is forbidden to eat pork and its products. there are also places associated with the cult to which ladies are not allowed. respect the rules and traditions that local people have followed for centuries

- Keselo – a fortress built on a rocky hill, dating back to the 18th century, is an organic part of the Tusheti environment, distinguished by its rare beauty and reflecting the difficult and battle-filled historical past of the region
